    As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing cable harness assemblies between subsystem components. You will collaborate cross-functionally and globally, leveraging effective written and verbal communication skills to influence and socialize within the organization. You will provide software estimates for changes from either internal or external sources and must be adept at managing dynamic environments with parallel responsibilities and competing priorities. You are expected to maintain a balance between speed and perfection while ensuring quality is never compromised. Additionally, you will support customers, co-workers, field testing, or production issues during weekends or after hours as needed.

    Responsibilities

    + Design cable harness assemblies between subsystem components.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally and globally.

    + Provide software estimates for changes from internal or external sources.

    + Handle dynamic environments with parallel responsibilities and competing priorities.

    + Maintain balance between speed and perfection while ensuring quality.

    + Support customers, co-workers, field testing, or production issues on weekends or after hours as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-5 years of experience in the field.

    + Proficient in reading electrical schematics and equipment drawings.

    + Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner while producing quality work.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Problem-solving and analytical skills to provide optimal solutions.

    + Ability to think strategically as part of a group to understand and evaluate the potential impact of long-term decisions.

    + Excellent time management and organizational skills.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with typical electrical connector types such as Harting, Mil-Spec, ITT-Cannon, etc.

    + Familiarity with component selection for PCB design.

    + Familiarity with design for EMI/EMC.

    + Some experience with electrical systems integration.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role offers a hybrid work environment with 2 days on-site and 3 days remote, with potential for the position to be fully remote.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
