    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with Applications Engineers, Fluid Systems Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers to develop machine control system solutions for friction welding machines.

    + Create electrical schematics using AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and ePLAN, along with Bills of Material documentation.

    + Conduct machine commissioning and ensure smooth operation.

    + Interpret controls systems requirements from various project scope documents.

    + Implement ANSI and ISO machine design and safety standards.

    + Develop machine sequence and control flow charts.

    + Design Human Machine Interface programs for machine controls using Siemens products.

    + Enhance understanding of machinery, machine controls, programmable logic controllers, human machine interface, and their control software.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years of controls engineering experience.

    + Proficiency in Siemens PLCs and willingness to learn more about Siemens technologies.

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Customer-facing experience.

    + Design skills using AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, and ePLAN.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is a plus.

    + Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or ePLAN is beneficial.

    Work Environment

    This position is based onsite at headquarters in South Bend, IN, working a 1st shift from 8 AM to 5 PM, five days a week. The role involves minimal overtime and requires domestic and international travel approximately twice a year.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr.
