Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Staff Accountant to join our team in Seal Beach, California. This on-site position is ideal for someone who pays close attention to detail and thrives in a collaborative public accounting environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a passion for mentoring entry-level team members while delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review diverse tax returns, including individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate filings.

• Analyze financial reports and general ledger details to ensure accurate tax projections.

• Conduct in-depth tax research and assist in the development of strategic tax planning solutions for clients.

• Handle correspondence and resolve issues related to tax notices, audits, and other jurisdictional matters.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff, supporting their growth.

• Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Contribute to special projects and support additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance and accuracy in all tasks. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing or reviewing individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.

• Familiarity with GoSystems, Checkpoint, or similar software is highly preferred.

• EA or CPA certification, or eligibility to obtain one, is strongly preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.

• Outstanding communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
