    Job Title: Material Handler

    Job Description

    Material Handlers play a crucial role in supporting the machine operator during the production process. They are responsible for gathering materials, which can weigh between 15 to 50 pounds, and loading them into the machine hopper. Additionally, they will edit machine programs for various production runs and packaging types, such as coffee bags and k-cups. During production, Team Members package, palletize, and stage finished products for the forklift team to remove for shipping. This includes shrink-wrapping, labeling, and ensuring quality control by identifying and removing defective products.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist machine operators in the production process.

    + Gather and load materials into the machine hopper.

    + Edit machine programs for different production runs and packaging types.

    + Package, palletize, and stage finished products for shipping.

    + Perform quality control throughout the production process.

    Essential Skills

    + 1 year of Material Handling experience using a Stand-Up Forklift.

    + Ability to stand for 12 hours.

    + 1 year of experience in shipping/receiving, food handling, packaging, quality assurance, production line, and machine operation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience working in fast-paced environments.

    Work Environment

     

    The position operates on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule with hours from 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am. There is a slight variance in start and end times depending on the assigned line, with some lines starting or ending at 5:30 AM/PM. The dress code includes jeans, steel-toe shoes (to remain on-site), a t-shirt with a provided smock, hair net, beard net, gloves, and safety glasses.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $48000.00/yr.
