Diesel Mechanic

Job Description

Join our large semi-truck repair shop as a Diesel Mechanic, where you will engage in a variety of tasks ranging from basic preventative maintenance to complex troubleshooting and repairs. Your role will include performing large changeouts, alignments, rotations, and extensive engine repairs on semi-trucks. We provide training courses and opportunities to earn certifications for warranty work, and we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on semi-trucks.

+ Perform troubleshooting on all equipment.

+ Execute large changeouts, alignments, and rotations.

+ Carry out engine repairs and replacements.

+ Participate in training courses to enhance skills and earn certificates.

Essential Skills

+ At least 1 year of previous diesel engine repair experience.

+ Possession of personal tools for the job.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with automotive, diesel engines, and service technology.

+ Knowledge in autobody, transmission, mechanical systems, truck hydraulics.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic truck sales and auto body shop with a team of 60 people, including both office and shop employees. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 pm to Midnight. The company provides an I-State truck shirt, and you are required to wear steel-toed boots.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sioux City, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.

401k company match, boot reimbursement, 2 weeks PTO, paid holidays.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Sioux City,IA.
