Job Title: Plate Former

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plate Former with experience in rolling both carbon and stainless steel plates, 3/8” and thicker. The ideal candidate will operate both 4 roll and 3 roll machines and will be eager to learn how to use the angle roller. You will be working with a variety of machines, including the 'Pinch Roll' and 'Pyramid Roll', for processing both large and small materials.

Responsibilities

+ Operate plate roller and break press machines to form carbon and stainless steel plates.

+ Work efficiently with 4 roll and 3 roll machines.

+ Learn and use the angle roller for metal forming tasks.

+ Handle both 'Pinch Roll' and 'Pyramid Roll' machines for various sizes of materials.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with rolling carbon and stainless steel plates 3/8” and thicker.

+ Proficiency in roll forming and metal fabrication.

+ Ability to operate both 4 roll and 3 roll machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Willingness to learn and operate the angle roller.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a structural fabrication yard that is covered but open-air. The position is on the 1st shift, starting at 4 AM and ending at 2:30 PM, with overtime currently available. Employees have the option to work Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
