Job Title: Cook II
Job Description
As a Cook II, you will accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events. The position requires working Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare, portion, and cook hot and cold food items efficiently.
+ Present food items for various meal periods such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.
+ Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
+ Ensure all prepared food meets quality standards.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in cooking and food preparation.
+ Ability to stand on feet for the duration of the shift.
+ Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in food service preferred.

Work Environment
Work in a kitchen environment within a hospital, where a customer service mindset is crucial. The role involves interacting with patients, their families, doctors, nurses, and hospital staff. The environment requires cleanliness and involves duties such as cleaning and washing customer plates, trays, silverware, and all kitchen utensils used in meal preparation.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.52 - $19.52/hr.
