    As a **Manufacturing Technician** , you will play a critical role in operating and maintaining refinery equipment to ensure smooth production processes. This position involves monitoring systems, performing quality checks, and handling chemicals safely while adhering to strict safety protocols.     Key Responsibilities

    + Operate refinery equipment and manage glycerin refinery plant operations using **Distributed Control Systems (DCS)** .

    + Monitor process parameters, alarms, and equipment status; make necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency.

    + Perform **quality control** by collecting samples and delivering them to the lab for testing.

    + Safely handle chemicals, ensuring proper dosing and compliance with safety standards.

    + Conduct preventive maintenance on field equipment and report issues promptly.

    + Follow all plant safety procedures, especially when working with hazardous materials or high-temperature equipment.

    Must-Have Skills

    + Quality control expertise

    + Strong **mechanical aptitude**

    + Troubleshooting ability

    + Experience with mechanical and construction tasks

    Nice-to-Have Skills

    + Forklift operation

    + Production and inspection experience

    + Machine operating proficiency

    + Hand tool usage

    + Cleanroom experience

    Additional Requirements

    + Valid driver’s license

    + Computer proficiency

    + Comfortable working at heights

    + Ability to routinely lift up to **75 lbs**

    Work Environment

    + Climate-controlled facility; work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

    + Exposure to chemicals, pressurized steam, dust, heat, noise, and fumes

    + Required PPE: steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses (uniforms provided later)

    + Team size: ~10 production operators per shift

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boone, IA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
