Job Title: Electrical Technician Apprentice

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apprentice to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start or grow their career in the electrical trade. You will work under the supervision of licensed electricians, assisting with installations, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

+ Assist electricians with installation of wiring, fixtures, and electrical systems.

+ Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using hand tools and power tools.

+ Pull wire through conduit and walls.

+ Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

+ Prepare and clean work areas before and after job completion.

+ Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams with guidance.

+ Load and unload materials and supplies.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising electrician.

Essential Skills

+ Basic electrical knowledge with understanding of wiring, circuits, voltage, and current.

+ Familiarity with interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.

+ Basic troubleshooting ability to identify and report electrical issues.

+ OSHA 10 certification must be possessed or completed prior to starting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2-3 years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

+ Ability to box out a room during the rough-in stage of construction.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.
