Job Title: Manual Machinist
Job Description
This position involves the manual operation of machinery including Bridgeport mills and Kent USA Machinery. The role requires setting up machinery for production runs, clamping parts, oiling machinery, turning parts for production, utilizing micrometers and calipers for inspections, working off of blueprints, lifting materials over 25 lbs, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machinery manually, including Bridgeport mills and Kent USA Machinery.
+ Set up machinery for production runs, with up to 10 setups some days.
+ Clamp parts to machinery for production runs.
+ Oil machinery to maintain specifications.
+ Turn parts for production.
+ Utilize micrometers and calipers for inspections.
+ Work off of blueprints.
+ Lift materials over 25 lbs.
+ Stand on feet for hours at a time.
Essential Skills
+ Manual mill experience.
+ Setup experience.
+ Blueprint experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.
+ Familiarity with manual machining processes.

Work Environment
The work environment is relaxed with three to four workers dedicated to the manual machinery division. Employees report to supervisors in a supportive setting. The dress code is casual, allowing shirts and jeans without graphics, rips, or holes. The work hours are from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with no work on Saturdays.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
