    About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist within the Commodities team as a part of Corporate Investment Banking Operations. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com .

     

    This role includes extensive PNL reporting and life-cycle management of the energy & commodity suite including natural gas, crude, power, agriculture, and metals.

    In this role, you will:

    + Daily trading profit & loss reporting and analysis/attribution, trade capture, systems, market data management, physical commodities scheduling and risk management

    + responsible for all middle office support functions for the Commodity Middle Office related to the financial and physical commodities trading desk

    + Support physical commodities, futures, swaps, options, swaptions and structured products traded on the exchange as well as OTC

    + Report end of day PNL, manage any new trades on a daily basis and all existing trades through their lifecycle events as well as scheduling physical commodities on EBB's, pipelines, etc.

    + Communicate with staff on the trading desk, sales, operations, technology, finance, risk, documentation, legal, audit and various other business partners within the bank

    + Risk analysis and the production of risk reports using established procedures and guidelines will be a daily function of the position

    + Project and Initiative work writing business requirement documentation on as needed basis

    + Process and procedure creation and maintenance in formal system and desk procedures

    Required Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

    Desired Qualifications:

    + 2+ years in a middle office P&L analyst role with an energy major and/or bank that's heavily engaged in energy trading

    + Experience with both physical and financial derivative products

    + Strong analytical skills and effective communicator

    + Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfortable consuming big data and articulate what that data represents

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

    + Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

    + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

    + Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products

    + Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

    Job Expectations:

    + Ability to work a hybrid schedule

    + Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening

    + Ability to work additional hours as needed
