The primary purpose of the Grant Assistant position is to provide administrative support for the institution's grant, contracts, MTA and internal funding review process.

*KEY FUNCTIONS*

*Assist in review of research funding applications and progress reports:*

Performs comparative review of subrecipient applications and CLICK records prior to submission to sponsor. Completes review of all continuation records and all annual progress reports (with the exception of CPRIT) to meet sponsor deadlines.

*Assist in processing contracts in the RCTS/Click Grants system: *

Assists with performing comparative review of contracts and agreements before they are routed for signature. Assists with routing of contracts for signatures and assists team with award set-up.

*Monitor OSP Mailbox: *

Responsible for monitoring the OSP mailbox on a rotating schedule and disseminates incoming correspondence to the appropriate Grant Administrator or staff in a timely manner and archives automated notification in the appropriate folders.

*EDUCATION:*

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

*EXPERIENCE:*

Required: Two years of experience in administrative, academic, or research setting, project management, or a related field. No experience required with a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred: Current and/or previous experience with grants, research, or administrative support to faculty experience.
