Are you an experienced educator ready to take the next step in your career? Amergis Educational Staffing is proud to partner with schools in Fall River, MA to hire a Lead Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2025–2026 school year!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in behavioral and intellectual disabilities who is passionate about leadership and pursuing a teaching license.
Position Overview
+ Location: Fall River, MA
+ Start Date: ASAP
+ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:20 AM – 2:30 PM
+ Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
+ Pay Rate: Up to $35/hour
What You'll Do
+ Lead and support paraprofessional staff within sub-separate classrooms
+ Provide direct support to students in 1:1 and small group settings
+ Implement and oversee behavior support plans and academic activities
+ Collect and analyze data on student behavior and progress
+ Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure consistent support strategies
+ Assist with changing/toileting as needed
+ Help write and implement IEPs
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with behavioral and intellectual disabilities
+ Demonstrated leadership experience in educational or behavioral settings
+ Strong skills in de-escalation, data collection, and behavior tracking
+ Passion for education and a desire to pursue a teaching license
+ Comfortable working with students exhibiting behaviors such as aggression, eloping, flopping, or self-injury

Minimum Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
