    Join our outpatient rehabilitation services team at MetroHealth!

    _Position Summary:_

    + In conjunction with department leadership, ensures effective operational, human resource and financial management of assigned department(s) or function(s), ensuring quality, cost-effective and efficient workflows, and processes, resulting in a positive patient experience.

    + Manages the daily operations of outpatient rehabilitation services which includes outpatient physical, occupational, speech and vocational therapy and outpatient support staff services.

    + Accountable for implementation, sustainment and financial viability of current and new initiatives that impact the growth and development of related departments, functions and/or programs.

    + Serve as a role model as well as a clinical and operational resource person.

    + Works collaboratively with service line and support staff on identifying opportunities for new or revised programs to ensure patient access, service line growth as well as development of an effective, high quality, skilled and motivated workforce.

    _Required Qualifications:_

    + Bachelor’s Degree, in Physical, Occupational or Speech Language Pathology from a school accredited by the governing bodies: American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

    + Occupational Therapist applicants must possess and maintain National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Certification.

    + Valid Ohio licensure as a Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language Pathology.

    + Three to five years of progressive operations management experience in a healthcare setting including planning, analysis, and budget management; as well as program planning and development.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills required along with experience in working with multi-disciplinary groups.

    + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self-development.

    + Excellent critical thinking and analytical aptitude.

    + Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

    _Preferred Qualifications :_

    + Master’s Degree or post-graduate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology.

    + Membership in a professional therapy association.

    _Physical Requirements:_

    + Ability to maintain balance despite sudden load to support patient from falling during any type of functional training

    + Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm or leg during exercise program

    + Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient’s pulse

    + Visual acuity to observe patient’s gross movement, gait, etc., to analyze biomechanical problems

    + May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulate.

    + May need to sit or stand for extended periods

    + Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families who may not be able to read

    + Ability to hear or understand patient’s description of symptoms and response to treatment

    + Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.

    + Frequently (25-75% of the time) performed tasks: Standing, sitting with and without back support, walking, reaching (overhead, forward, lateral, and low), crouching, balancing, lifting 5 to 25 pounds, carrying 5 to10 pounds, and pushing up to 75 pounds

    + Occasionally (5-25% of the time) performed tasks: Stooping, climbing, lifting or moving 24 to 100 pounds, carrying 10 to 25 pounds, and operating power tools and machinery
