_Primary Patient Population:_
+ Inpatient Medicine
+ Spinal surgery recovery
+ Trauma overflow
_Primary skills utilized/learned:_
+ Traction, various drains, wound care
+ In cooperation and conjunction with the nurse manager, plans, coordinates, and evaluates all unit activities impacting patient care delivery.
+ Holds self and staff accountable for identification, evaluation, documentation, and appropriate intervention of patients’ needs to ensure quality.
+ Ensures the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
+ Time management, critical thinking, delegating

+ 34 beds (14 private rooms, 20 semi-private rooms)

Required Qualifications:
+ Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
+ Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
+ 3 years of clinical experience including experience as a preceptor, charge nurse, or committee leader.
+ Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
+ Nursing certification in specialty area or in nursing management/leadership (e.g., CNML, NE-BC). Current AHA certification(s) relevant to clinical practice area (as outlined in the RN Clinical Nurse job description).
+ Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ BSN
+ Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
