    As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, charging, and delivering medications. You will serve patients across all age groups and contribute to a high-performing, patient-focused pharmacy team.

    Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate daily with nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel to support patient care.

    + Travel between UPMC Pinnacle facilities as needed to complete pharmacy activities.

    + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment, including restocking, cleaning, and medication management.

    + Prepare, label, and dispense medications, including non-sterile compounds, IV admixtures, and specialty products under pharmacist supervision.

    + Fill and manage automated dispensing cabinets, interdepartmental orders, and medication deliveries.

    + Inspect and remove expired or recalled medications, ensuring proper documentation.

    + Assist in training staff and pharmacy students on procedures and best practices.

    + Operate pharmacy equipment effectively, including pneumatic tubes, computers, and automated dispensing systems.

    + Adhere to proper handling procedures for controlled substances and ensure accuracy in documentation.

    + Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives and promote UPMC Pinnacle's mission, vision, and values.

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Employment experience required:

    + Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained and maintained including required continuing education credits.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
