About the Role
Are you ready to bring your expertise in laboratory systems and Epic Beaker to a team that values innovation and precision? As an EPIC Beaker Analyst, you’ll be the go-to expert for managing, optimizing, and supporting Epic Beaker workflows and integrations. This role combines technical skill, problem-solving, and leadership to ensure our laboratory systems run seamlessly—ultimately improving patient care and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Leadership & Coordination
Provide regular status updates to management and lead meetings as needed.
Organize discovery sessions to identify operational needs and mentor analysts on assigned applications.
Work independently on incidents, change orders, and customer meetings.
Analysis & Optimization
Analyze customer-reported issues, determine corrective actions, and deliver timely feedback.
Collaborate with IT and Empower teams to design solutions for operational and technical challenges.
Participate in Epic upgrades, coordinating testing and go-live activities.
Reporting & Documentation
Build and maintain Reporting Workbench reports and interpret data for actionable insights.
Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
Workflow & Integration
Understand and analyze Epic workflows to translate report requests into data points.
Manage and maintain interfaces between lab analyzers and Epic Beaker using Data Innovations Instrument Manager.
Support integration with third-party applications and middleware updates.
Training & Support
Build and maintain Epic Master Training environment (MST) and training curriculum.
Provide end-user training and ongoing support.

Skills and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field required; Master’s preferred.
Certifications:
Epic Beaker (Clinical and Anatomic Pathology) required (or ability to obtain within 9 months).
Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician certification preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a hospital or clinic environment.
Previous Epic build, training, and support experience strongly preferred.
Leadership or supervisory experience desirable.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to thrive under deadlines and high-pressure situations.
