**The role you'll contribute:** The Physical Therapist Assistant conducts therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist in a professional manner and within hospital standards, a compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Implements individualized treatment plans based on physical therapy evaluations and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
Modifies treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments in consultation with physical therapist
Collects patient data and communicates with the physical therapists regarding discharge recommendations when maximum benefit has been achieved.
Documents patient care accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policies.
Charges patients accurately and timely according to CPT code format, price file, and insurance guidelines.
Oversees the care provided by rehabilitation aides according to established regulations and practice standards, and may involve coordinating activities of rehabilitation aides, students, and other support personnel
Evaluates and interprets patient data relative to age-appropriate behavior, motor skills, and physiological norms, modifying approaches and communication skills accordingly.
Identifies the need for patient and caregiver education, utilizing opportunities for teaching and documenting understanding as appropriate.

State of Florida Certified Physical Therapist Assistant License (PTA)
