    Summary

    The main purpose of this position is to clean setter and farm racks using a pressure washer. This person will clean the work area each day and follow proper poultry welfare guidelines.

     

    This position has a base rate of $16.49 per hour, with opportunities for pay premiums, shift differentials and overtime where applicable. Annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

    Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for power washing setter racks and farm racks that are received from the transfer crew.

    2. Adhere to individual facility embrex vaccinating schedules.

    3. Maintain the required sanitation scores in accordance with facility S.O.P. This is to include but not limited to Setter and Hatcher hallway sanitation, floors and drains

    4. Fill in when needed on the transfer crew

    5. Must be able to use broom, shovel, mop and scrub brushes to remove chick down, and work with chemicals to effectively wash and disinfect hatchers through hand scrubbing and high-pressure washer.

    6. Any other duties assigned by management.

    Minimum Education

    + High school or equivalent

    Experience Requirements

    + Worked a minimum of 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.

    Experience Preferred

    + Some basic mechanical/electrical knowledge also preferred

     

    Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

     

    Exposed to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees Fahrenheit and humidities up to 100%. Exposed to chemicals, drups and vaccines to be covered in MSDS training and hazardous communications. Use personal protective equipment as required. Ability to lift 4 lbs. to a height of 6 feet, to push 75 lbs. a distance of 75 feet and lift 20 - 25 lbs. to a height of 3 feet. Must be able to work in a wet, damp, dusty (chick down) environment.
