Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk (Contract for Medical Leave)
Job Description
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk who will be responsible for preparing, issuing, and managing customer invoices, ensuring the timely and accurate recording of receivables. This role is crucial in maintaining healthy cash flow by managing billing activities, reconciling accounts, and communicating with customers to resolve discrepancies.
Responsibilities
+ Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate with customers regarding payment status, discrepancies, or billing questions.
+ Assist with month-end closing activities, including invoicing reports.
+ Support external audits by providing necessary documentation.
+ Generate customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Review and verify billing data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
+ Maintain organized records of invoices and related documentation.
+ Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
Essential Skills
+ Two years of experience in a relevant accounting capacity (AR, AP, clerk, etc.).
+ Two years of experience using MS Excel and other MS Office products.
+ High School Diploma.
+ Knowledge and experience using ERP, CRM, or Accounting software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in the manufacturing industry.
+ College education.
+ Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
+ Attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a small, close-knit accounting team.
+ Adept at cross-functional departmental responsibilities.
+ Ability to take instruction and direction.
+ Team-oriented attitude.
+ Willingness to learn and be trained.
+ Problem-solving and analytical mindset.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite with an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, between 7 am and 5 pm. You will be part of a close-knit, productive, and friendly team. The work environment is fast-paced and may require occasional overtime depending on the workload. This is a Contract position based out of Loves Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
