    Job Title: Payroll AdministratorJob Description

     

    Join our dynamic and growing team as a Payroll Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in managing and executing payroll processes. You will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling project timecards, preparing and reviewing weekly payroll data, and handling off-cycle checks, including retroactive pay. Your expertise will be essential in processing expense reports, resolving payroll inquiries, and completing unemployment earnings requests.

    Responsibilities

    + Review and reconcile project timecards prior to weekly pay run.

    + Prepare and review weekly payroll, including data entry and associated reporting.

    + Prepare daily off-cycle checks, including retroactive pay as needed.

    + Handle historical corrections and process expense reports.

    + Research and resolve payroll inquiries from team members via phone or email.

    + Serve as a liaison for payroll team members on project teams.

    + Complete unemployment earnings requests.

    + Set up, update salary and pay-related details, and terminate craft payroll team members.

    + Effectively work and build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.

    + Perform additional payroll duties, including union reporting, reconciliation, garnishments, and updating child support records.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's or Associate's degree with 3+ years of payroll experience.

    + Proficiency in payroll processes and historical corrections.

    + Strong skills in Excel, including data views, graphing, and pivot tables.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with UKG or Oracle is a plus but not mandatory.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule includes in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with remote work options on Wednesday and Friday. The team operates from 7 AM to 5 PM, with flexible start times between 7 and 8 AM. This role is hourly, with overtime paid for work exceeding 40 hours. Our modern and spacious office environment fosters a positive and collaborative culture, with a focus on team building and professional development. The payroll department consists of over 12 team members across various functions, including Workforce Management/Timekeeping and Payroll Processing, with separate Payroll Systems/Support teams. The organization processes payroll in-house for nearly every state in the US, offering ample growth opportunities and internal mobility.

    This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $45.00/hr.
