    Production Grinder DSC \- 2nd Shift

    Description

    Work Performed:

    + Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work\.

    + Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types grinders\.

    + Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours and threads\.

    + Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads\.

    + Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels\. Holds work to required tolerances\.

    + Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks\.

    Tools & Equipment Used:

    All types of grinders, machinists' hand tools, precision measuring instruments\.

    Qualifications

    Experience & Other Requirements:

    Three years of production grinding experience including setup\.
