    Material Handler

    Job Description

    The material handler will perform essential shipping, receiving, and inventory control duties in a warehouse environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare documents, instructions, and other required documentation to coordinate shipping and freighting of pumps, cartridges, and materials.

    + Pack and prepare company products and other materials for shipping according to customer requests.

    + Maintain records of orders shipped, including documentation of weights and shipping charges.

    + Ensure documentation complies with governmental and regulatory agencies requirements.

    + Schedule and coordinate shipment deadlines with Customer Service to ensure timely delivery.

    + Maintain computerized shipping systems and equipment such as 100 lb. scale, hand truck, pallet jack, and bander.

    + Receive incoming materials, services, and supplies by unpacking and checking goods against purchase orders or invoices.

    + Maintain records of received goods and manage unsatisfactory items.

    + Transfer approved materials to their proper stockroom locations or deliver packages to internal customers.

    + Coordinate incoming shipments of goods authorized for return with Customer Service, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance.

    + Receive product from quarantine and production into finished goods, verify accuracy against shop orders or sterile processing logs, and report discrepancies.

    + Examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

    + Pull materials to support work orders and inventory requests.

    + Perform daily cycle counts and ensure 100% accuracy of all finished goods inventory.

    + Perform daily inventory data transactions and provide feedback to inventory inquiries.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Experience with data entry using ERP systems and working in an FDA regulated environment.

    + Experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, dollies, and automated shipping equipment such as the FedEx café.

    + Good oral and written communication skills.

    + Basic math skills.

    + Good interpersonal skills.

    + Word processing and data entry skills.

    + Familiarity with GMP environment.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $19.76/hr.
