POSITION TITLE: District Teacher Leader CoachCLASSIFICATION: Teacher LeadershipREPORTS TO: Executive Director of Curriculum and InstructionJOB GOAL:The District Teacher Leader Coach will work collaboratively with District Administration, Building Principals, Instructional Coaches/Leads and Teaching Staff at all levels to ensure that all students are equipped, empowered, and engaged. The District Teacher Leader Coach designs, develops, and supports an instructional coaching model to cultivate effective teaching in every classroom. Focus areas for the work will be determined by district and building level needs and data. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Essential Job Elements:
+ Coach and support building instructional coaches/leads on the implementation of the CRCSD Model of Instruction and their general coaching practice.
+ Complete inquiry cycles with designated teachers or teacher leaders by having multiple interactions between a coach/coachee that are (1) part of a cyclical, instructionally-focused process; (2) driven by the coachee's professional goals; (3) designed to guarantee effective instruction and equitable outcomes for all students.
+ Collaborate with building instructional coaches/leads to coach and co-facilitate PLCs to regularly address common issues regarding curriculum, assessment, instruction, and the achievement of all students.
+ Model, observe, and coach predominant coaching and instructional practices as defined by the district.
+ Provide job-embedded professional development that is directly related to instructional coach/lead and/or teacher professional and instructional growth goals.
+ Deepen and maintain own knowledge of equity principles and culturally responsive pedagogy to identify and address inequitable practices and engage coaches or teachers in using an equity lens to reflect on their practice (ICPS 2.4).
+ Cultivate relational trust, caring, mutual respect, and honesty with individuals and groups of coaches and/or teachers that is non-evaluative and confidential (ICPS 3.1).
+ Advance standards-aligned instruction and student learning of rigorous content by engaging coach and/or teacher in ongoing teaching-coaching cycles to advance equitable learning for every student (ICPS 5.1).
+ Strengthen instructional coach/lead and/or teacher capacity to equitably meet the diverse learning needs of students through the instructional use of technology (ICPS 6.4).
+ Collaboratively work with other district level teacher leaders including; Professional Learning Lead, Curriculum Leads, Program Leads, Content Leads and Administrators to support district goals.
+ Set individual professional goals and reflect upon coaching practice through individual coaching cycles coaching PLC, and job embedded professional learning.
+ Embody and adhere to the instructional coaching practice standards.
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
+ Ability to design, present, and facilitate adult learning experiences
+ Experience with conducting professional learning activities preferred
+ Knowledge and understanding of the Iowa Core Standards
+ Knowledge and experience with instructional coaching and/or another like coaching role
+ Knowledge and understanding of the Instructional Coach Practice Standards (ICPS)
+ Ability to demonstrate the application of mentoring and coaching skills
+ Knowledge and experience with data driven practices
+ Knowledge of Professional Learning Community process and protocol

+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required
+ Instructional Coaching Experience required
+ Standard Teaching License with a minimum of five years of teaching experience with at least three years of experience in the Cedar Rapids Community School District preferred

The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables and carts.
