    Responsible for the management of the quality and patient safety functions in support of the Department of Quality and Patient Safety. This includes providing oversight and management of staff in the performance of their duties as related to quality and patient safety. This position works closely with the Senior Director of Quality and Patient Safety in the establishment of department strategies and objectives. Leads the team in their work to collect and analyze quality data, event investigations and root cause analysis, and developing action plans to address high risk areas for the organization. Plans, manages and oversees operations for quality and patient safety. Develops goals, objectives and operating budgets for the Quality and Patient Safety Department, ensures that the department operates within budget and goals are achieved. Manages and oversees assigned staff including Quality and Safety Specialist RNs. Works with medical staff, clinical staff and operational staff to improve quality and patient outcomes through quality improvement monitoring and metric tracking. Oversee all aspects of the organization patient safety plan including serious safety events, RCA’s, system reviews and other related investigation processes. Participates in regular and ad-hoc meetings to provide measurement reports, organize and to assist with the facilitation of proceedings. Stays current with CMS, DHHS, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and payors whose requirements impact clinical operations, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards and all policies in area of responsibility, such as timely submission of any required patient safety reports to regulatory bodies.

     

    Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree. 3-5 years experience in nursing, including quality and patient safety related work. NH RN.

     

    Preferred Qualifications: CPPS, CPHQ, Greenbelt Certification preferred. Must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

     

    Minimum: $42.75

     

    Maximum: $64.13
