    Minimum Qualifications:

    Associate's degree in business administration, communications, or related field and three years of related experience; or five years of related experience to include customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered for this position.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree.

    + Three years of additional related experience.

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for assisting with fund-raising programs designed to secure annual (renewable) gifts from individuals, alumni, foundations, and/or corporations. Will work under the direction of the Senior Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving.

    Job Duties:

    + Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts for the unit (non-donors with a capacity of $250,000 and below; gifts that are renewable and may be comprised of cash and or pledges).

    + Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel solicitation campaigns, including direct mail, email, social media, and phone outreach.

    + In conjunction with the Senior Director, help plan and execution of UTMB’s annual Day of Giving, including marketing strategy, campus engagement and donor acquisition.

    + Provide regular reports on giving trends, membership renewals, and campaign effectiveness.

    + Manage all appeal codes, packages, and segmentation within Raiser's Edge for tracking and reporting purposes.

    + Manage various alumni volunteer programs for their routine board meetings throughout the year.

    + Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

    + Performs related duties as required

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    + Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism, competence, and integrity in dealing with a variety of individuals, including university administrators, faculty, alumni, and institutional donors.

    + Experience in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding annual giving gifts from individuals.

    + Proven skills in annual giving fundraising, interpersonal communications, and project planning and execution.

    + Maintain and process all annual and lifetime membership practices and standards.

    + Demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Experience in PowerPoint and a constituent database is preferred.

    + Actively engage in new donor cultivation through prospect outreach, relationship-building activities, and targeted events.

    Salary Range:

    Actual salary commensurate with experience.
