    Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2, you will be part of the Data Center Operations supporting the IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2

    **Location:** San Antonio, TX

    **Pay Range:** $23 - $26/hour + Benefits & PTO

    5 days onsite, M-F - 7am - 4:40pm

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches according to specific instructions and protocols.

    + Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in accordance with safety standards and deployment guidelines.

    + Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify issues quickly, replacing faulty components as needed.

    + Decommission hardware for simple upgrades and refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, following standard procedures.

    + Communicate, report, and escalate incidents appropriately to the Data Center Technician Leads, maintaining clear documentation.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    + Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

    + At least 1 year of supporting IT equipment or related technology.

    + Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
