Role Description:
Form Energy is searching for a Fixture Design Engineer to join our Test Engineering team on a
contract-to-hire basis. In this position, you will be working closely with mechanical design and structural
analysis teams to develop vibration fixtures suitable for shock and vibration testing. You will develop stiff,
light, and manufacturable structures to connect Form Energy hardware to vibration excitation equipment
including large hydraulic shakers. Preferably you will additionally run initial modal analysis on your fixtures
to ensure they are suitable. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and have a direct impact on a

What You’ll Do:
• Work with engineers test staff and our mechanical design and structural analysis groups to proactively
understand our fixturing needs
• Develop, in Solidworks, manufacturable fixturing designs with attention to vibration-test specific
needs
• Learn and apply Form Energy’s CAD best practices
• Conduct initial modal analysis on your designs to ensure they remain rigid through our frequency
bandwidth of interest
• Oversee production of your fixturing, including management of quotes and procurement timelines
• Troubleshoot fixture fitment issues with design and test engineers
• Apply learnings from past test to new designs
What You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Solidworks
• Experience designing mechanical fixturing, including a functional understanding of tolerancing
• Strong understanding of common production techniques appropriate for R&D hardware
• Ability to manage production timelines and external machine shops
• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and proactively gathering stakeholder
input to projects

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr.
