Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Field Survey Crew Chief with 3 to 5 years of experience to lead daily field operations. This role involves conducting construction and subdivision staking, boundary, and topographic surveys. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing field notes, performing minor calculations, managing data uploads/downloads, and maintaining survey equipment and vehicles. Experience with Topcon equipment and Magnet Field software is a plus. Strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams are essential.

Responsibilities

+ Lead daily field operations for various types of surveys including construction, subdivision staking, boundary, and topographic surveys.

+ Prepare detailed field notes and perform necessary calculations.

+ Manage data uploads and downloads efficiently.

+ Maintain survey equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance.

+ Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

Essential Skills

+ 3 to 5 years of field survey experience.

+ Proficient in land surveying, construction stakeout, and topographic surveys.

+ Experience with Total Station, GPS, and boundary survey software.

+ Ability to work with Civil 3D and Trimble GPS.

+ Strong organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Topcon equipment and Magnet Field software is a plus.

+ Familiarity with Alta and Alta surveys.

+ Knowledge in land development and civil engineering concepts.

Work Environment

The position requires working in an outdoor field environment, often collaborating with a team. The role involves using advanced surveying equipment and software, with a focus on precision and accuracy. The work schedule may vary based on project requirements.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
