    We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Field Technician located in Murfreesboro, TN, with the flexibility to travel throughout the Chattanooga and Knoxville areas. This role involves a variety of fieldwork activities aimed at monitoring and maintaining environmental systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Install flow monitors within sewer lines and rainfall monitoring equipment.

    + Calibrate flow monitors and ensure data accuracy for sewer flow and rainfall data.

    + Operate and maintain flow monitors and rainfall gauges.

    + Conduct manual inspections of manholes using telemonitoring equipment.

    + Perform flow isolations, smoke testing, dye water flooding, and site inspections.

    + Maintain organized and accurate records in accordance with quality work instructions.

    + Ensure vehicle and equipment are safe and mechanically sound for operations.

    + Adhere to safety work procedures and policies.

    + Travel and work overtime as necessary.

    + Complete all required training and certifications.

    + Perform other duties as required.

    Essential Skills

    + Knowledge in environmental science and environmental engineering.

    + Experience in sewer testing, sampling, and technical reporting.

    + Strong foundation in engineering principles, including civil and water engineering.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field or engineering.

    + Basic computer skills with proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + Manual dexterity and the ability to work outdoors.

    + Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet productivity targets.

    + Willingness to travel and promote a safety-conscious work culture.

    Work Environment

    The position involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions, primarily within drainage systems. The role offers a Monday to Thursday schedule, with the potential for career advancement from Field Technician to Project Manager. Benefits include one week of vacation, six holidays, and a per diem of $45/day for food, with hotel expenses covered. Travel may include a company car or mileage reimbursement.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Murfreesboro, TN.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
