    Job Title: Building Automation Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Facilities Engineer, you will collaborate and provide innovative ideas to enhance plant operations, ensuring the continued success of the site. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and resolving issues with plant utilities and equipment, addressing mechanical and electrical breakdowns while adhering to strict product safety and quality standards. This role requires initiative and the ability to participate in plant problem-solving teams, demonstrate leadership, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will provide 24/7 support for manufacturing process equipment operation and maintenance, and offer technical leadership to improve and enhance process automation functions.

    Responsibilities

    + Support projects associated with new process installations, including automation design/strategy, start-up, commissioning, mechanical/electrical installation, and validation support.

    + Utilize electrical/electronic problem-solving skills in a manufacturing plant setting.

    + Repair, calibrate instrumentation, and work with Windows-based PCs.

    + Work effectively in a team-based environment with limited supervision.

    + Be available to work any shift, including weekends and holidays as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s or technical degree in engineering, instrumentation, process automation or related field.

    + Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

    + Multiple years of experience in a GMP environment.

    + Experience with equipment monitoring and control systems.

    + Technical skills in PLCs, machining, welding tasks, and high-pressure gases.

    + Experience with technical processes, instrumentation, and related control systems.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in computer control automation system start-ups, loop tuning, and problem resolution of control system modifications.

    + PLC ladder logic, IO networks, control computers, and associated control component repair.

    + Experience with control platforms like Rockwell Factory Talk, AB PLCs, WonderWare, iFix, or associated IO and communication protocols.

    + Knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Visio).

    + Experience with Windows-based PCs.

    + Willingness and ability to train in Maintenance Systems (SAP) and technology upgrades related to predictive maintenance.

    + Participation and compliance with environmental policies, procedures, and safety programs.

    Work Environment

    The role is set in a fast-paced, developing environment where you will work as part of a team with limited supervision. You must be flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required. The position involves working with advanced technologies and equipment, requiring continuous learning and adaptability to new systems and processes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $44.00/hr.
