Description

Well reputable, multi-disciplinary, minority owned architectural & engineering firm seeking Electrical Engineer for all public infrastructure projects; a lot of wastewater projects, new facilities and upgrades. Working in the design and engineering phase and assisting through construction administration. Some of their clients are City of Detroit, City of Warren, Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA), etc.

-Provide budget electrical estimates for waste treatment facilities, numerous water treatment facility and Detroit Public Lighting Commission projects.

-Conduct site survey of waste treatment and water treatment facilities throughout the Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh areas.

-Update existing electrical designs and systems

-Design and document fire alarm, security system plans, one line diagrams and provide associated specifications.

-Perform field investigation and condition assessment of electrical power distribution and control equipment.

-Client scope of work, work with field investigation team to see where they can place utility systems, etc.

-Pre-bids, bids and submittal packages

-Construction documents and schematics

-Perform calculations and specifications for electrical power systems, load flows, voltage drops, short circuit, and coordination using electrical analytical software (E-Tap/SKM Tools)

-Interface and maintain project relationships with customers, sub-contractors & vendors

-Conduct field investigations and assess electrical equipment for municipal Water/Wastewater projects

-Design electrical distribution, lighting, and control systems following industry standards

-Perform system studies to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations

-Work closely with team members and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions

Additional Skills & Qualifications

~MUST HAVES~

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering

Experience with electrical distribution on public infrastructure/heavy industrial projects

Proficient within AutoCAD, Microsoft Office

PE License

Water/wastewater

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
