    Verdantas is seeking a talented **Geotechnical Staff Engineer II** to join our team in the **Rancho Cucamonga** office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that make a real impact on communities and the environment. As part of our collaborative and innovative team, you will contribute to geotechnical investigations, design, and analysis for a variety of infrastructure and development projects. We are looking for a motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality solutions.

    What You'll Do:

    + Assist in the investigation and design of earthen structures and roadways

    + Doing field testing, including geotechnical borings, infiltration testing, and potentially fill in for compaction testing on construction projects

    + Collect and help interpret data through research, file reviews, field observations and measurements, field testing, and other methods

    + Assist in preparing detailed plans, technical specifications, and reports

    + Perform computations and process data using computer software or other established methods

    + Observe and document field activities and prepare construction documentation reports

    + Assist in preparing cost estimates for design implementation

    + Perform site inspections under the supervision of senior engineers

    + Demonstrate strong technical writing and communication skills

    + Occasional out-of-town travel

    What You'll Bring:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Institution with a focus on geotechnical engineering

    + 2-5 years of relevant work experience

    + CAD experience a plus

    + Strong calculation skills preferred

    + The ability to interpret work plans

    + Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed

    Salary Range:

    $80,000-$92,000
