The purpose of this position is to provide a link as a Citizen Responder between the City of Centennial Code Compliance / Right of Way Divisions and the general public and to support to the right-of-way permit regulations and processes as a Right-of-Way Permit Technician in the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) - Street Rehabilitation Division

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the processing of Public Works right-of-way permits.
• Receives Code Compliance inquiries, issues and complaints via telephone or electronic mail reported by customers to the Citizen Response Center and responds tactfully and resourcefully in the process of seeking resolution.
• Research applicable property information and create code cases within data tracking system for inspection by code officers
• Assists the Code Compliance, Right of Way and CIP-Street Rehabilitation Divisions with preparing and analyzing weekly and monthly reports, generated through the work management system, that monitor compliance with performance standards and inventory control.
• Performs data entry and navigation in the right-of-way permit system and database to inventory, track and complete right-of-way permit applications.
• Performs data entry and navigation in the work management system and database to initiate and update work requests and complete work requests or work orders.
• Attends system administration meetings related to the work management system and process.
• Assists walk up citizens and general public with information generally provided by the Citizen Response Center.
• Performs other similar duties as assigned.
• High School diploma or GED
• Three (3) years general office experience using intermediate skills in preparing documents through word processing and spreadsheet software
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally and in writing with customers, office and field personnel
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
• Associate’s Degree in Office Administration, Business, or specialized general office or clerical training
• Some knowledge of organization and function of City government
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with strong knowledge in Word and Excel
• Experience supporting upper-level management
• Strong customer service, typing, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
