Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our client's team in Greenville, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. You will work closely with a team of offshore bookkeepers, providing leadership and guidance to maintain high standards of financial reporting and analysis. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s growth and operational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle monthly bookkeeping for multiple entities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, and financial statement preparation.

• Oversee the work of offshore bookkeepers, reviewing monthly activities for accuracy and timeliness across various real estate and trading entities.

• Ensure the completion of monthly financial reporting packages by established deadlines.

• Lead daily and weekly team meetings to define priorities, address questions, and monitor progress.

• Provide regular updates to executive leadership regarding the accounting team’s performance and achievements.

• Conduct and approve bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring proper allocation and coding.

• Oversee payroll processing, journal entries, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Perform analytical reviews of financial statements and reconcile assets, liabilities, and pre-paid expenses monthly.

• Prepare and update annual budgets, including periodic reforecasts, to align with organizational goals.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all accounting and bookkeeping activities.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or financial management.

• Proficiency in accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

• Strong skills in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries.

• Experience with financial statement audits and account reconciliation.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Proficient in using accounting software and data analysis tools.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams.

• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial tasks.
