Job Title: Batch Maker

Job Description

Join our team as a Batch Maker on the 2nd shift, working Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 11 PM. As a Batch Maker, you will be responsible for reviewing assigned formulas, ensuring the correct sequence of reactions and mixing, and completing assigned batches within the allotted time. You will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

+ Review assigned formulas for chemical and packaging requirements.

+ Ensure proper sequence of reactions and mixing.

+ Complete assigned batches in the allotted time.

+ Retrieve ingredients as per the formula, using only QC approved ingredients.

+ Accurately measure ingredients and record any substitutions or over-pours with supervisor approval.

+ Monitor equipment and observe production throughout the batch process.

+ Package approved batches and label all finished product containers.

+ Stock supplies and label containers of raw materials when needed.

+ Clean, sanitize, and inspect tools, pumps, tanks, pipelines, and other equipment.

+ Complete end-of-day procedures including restocking raw materials and waste documentation.

+ Understand the hazards of handling various chemicals.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as a mixer, blender, batch maker, or machine operator.

+ Proficiency in batch mixing, compounding, and production.

+ Experience in manufacturing/production, particularly in liquid production, is highly preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a general manufacturing environment focused on soap making. The plant is smaller but temperature controlled, with strong soap fragrance smells. Safety and cleanliness are prioritized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MEMPHIS, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.52 - $21.52/hr.
