    Electrical Test Technician ($25-35/hr, weekly pay!)

     

    Shift: 6am-6pm, 2-2-3 schedule

    Job Description

    The Electrical Test Technician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive testing of electrical switchboards and power distribution equipment to ensure compliance with UL standards and customer specifications. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining product integrity and safety.

    What You’ll Do

    + Perform electrical testing on customized switchboard products using tools such as Megger, Hi-Pot testers, and multimeters.

    + Inspect and verify components against engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and testing procedures.

    + Conduct dielectric, insulation, torque, and dimensional tests to ensure compliance with UL 891, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards.

    + Document findings clearly and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.

    + Occasionally travel for field support

    What We’re Looking For

    + **Education:** Associate degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience. NETA or similar certification preferred.

    + **Experience:** Minimum 2 years testing industrial electrical equipment.

    + **Technical Skills:** Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution systems.

    + Familiarity with quality control processes and inspection tools.

    + Ability to interpret technical documents and schematics.

    + **Safety First:** Solid knowledge of electrical safety practices and procedures.

    + **Soft Skills:** Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and clear communication.

    + **Physical Requirements:** Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 60 lbs; frequent standing, walking, and reaching.

    + **Other:** Valid driver’s license.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in a brand new facility that will accommodate about 200-250 employees. The work environment includes a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses, which will be provided. Candidates must wear long pants and long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves, which will also be supplied.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
