Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
As a CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by setting up, programming as necessary, and operating CNC machines, surface grinders, manual machines, or other equipment. You will maintain quality and safety standards, keep records, and manage equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities
+ Inspect machinery to ensure the equipment is in good working order before start-up.
+ Conduct all required setup, adjusting offsets to close-tolerance specifications.
+ Interpret and execute written instructions from process travelers, routers, and work instructions.
+ Perform in-process inspection of products to ensure specifications and quality requirements are met.
+ Perform routine machine maintenance as required.
+ Follow safety protocols.
+ Report any safety or maintenance concerns to the supervisor or management immediately.
+ Keep all work areas clean and organized.
+ Hold self to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years’ experience operating CNC machines, manual machines, or surface grinders.
+ Ability to set up machines, adjust programs as necessary, and operate machines independently.
+ Troubleshooting skills for machinery and making small repairs.
+ Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrammed instructions.
+ Proficiency in using metrology hand-tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial-indicators.
+ Solid math skills, including measuring and keeping count records.
+ Commitment to safety and attention to detail.
+ Good verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with CNC Haas Mill machines.
+ Ability to set up CNC mill machines and 3-axis programming.
+ Experience with ceramic parts.
+ Willingness to learn new things.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing shop located in Poway, where you will be standing, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs regularly for up to 8 hours per shift. The company is headquartered in Valencia, CA, with manufacturing locations throughout Northern and Southern California.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Poway, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $39.00/hr.
