    Job Title: Shear Operator

    Job Responsibilities

    + Prepare and operate power shears and circle shear equipment, maintaining tolerances of +/- .005” per drawing and work instructions.

    + Perform operation of square shear and circle shear equipment under direct supervision.

    + Observe process or machine operation and measure parts according to instructions using defined inspection media.

    + Stop process or machine operation and notify supervisor if parts do not conform to specifications.

    + Adjust tool and machine settings under supervision to achieve specified results.

    + Perform work in all areas of the shop as designated by supervision on an as-needed basis.

    + Maintain a clean work area.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints in English.

    + Manual dexterity to handle small delicate parts and hand-held standard measuring equipment.

    + Near and far vision of 20/30 in both eyes (corrected).

    + High School diploma or GED.

    + 0-2 years of experience for Level 1 Shear Operator; 2-5 years of experience for Level 2 Shear Operator.

    Shifts and Pay

    + M-F

    + 2nd shift: 2 pm - 10:30 pm

    + $19-23/hour

    The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $47840.00/yr.
