Welder / Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 1st shift welder/fabricator to join our team and contribute to complex stainless steel projects for our clients. This position requires the ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, identify welding callouts, determine component layouts, and perform TIG welding with occasional MIG welding. The role also includes finishing work and secondary operations.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret welding blueprints

+ Identify and understand welding callouts

+ Determine accurate component layouts

+ Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components

+ Occasionally perform MIG welding

+ Complete finishing work and secondary operations

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 4 years of TIG welding experience

+ At least 3 years of experience specifically in stainless steel TIG welding

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints

+ Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with fabrication and layout work

+ Possession of welding helmet, gloves, and tools (primarily metric)

+ Strong attention to detail

Work Environment

This role is based in a large fabrication shop specializing in stainless steel components for the food production industry. The shop operates on a 1st shift schedule from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
