Your Impact
As an **Electrical Engineer** at Siemens,

development and customer collaboration to final system testing and

About the Role
The Siemens Distributed Energy Systems (DES) team is seeking
a highly motivated and technically skilled Electrical Engineer to support the
design, implementation, and commissioning of cutting-edge distributed energy
projects — including Energy Storage, Photovoltaic, and Microgrid systems.
You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of
engineers, project managers, and developers to deliver integrated, resilient,
and sustainable energy solutions for commercial, industrial, institutional, and
utility customers nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
+ Developand review electrical designs for PV, BESS, and microgrid systems,including one-line diagrams, protection schemes, and interconnectiondrawings.
+ Coordinateand review load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, and protectioncoordination studies for medium- and low-voltage distribution systems.
+ Designand configure network applications, SCADA, and control architectures fordistributed energy assets.
+ Supportinterconnection applications, utility coordination, and system modeling.
+ Collaboratewith project teams on equipment selection, specifications, and factoryacceptance testing.
+ Providetechnical support during construction, commissioning, and performancetesting phases.
+ Ensuredesigns comply with Siemens standards, NEC/NESC, IEEE, UL, and utilityinterconnection requirements.
Qualifications
+ **Bachelor’sdegree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)** required.
+ **ProfessionalEngineer (PE) license** preferred.
+ Minimum **5years of experience** with electrical power systems and distributedenergy projects (PV, BESS, microgrid, CHP, etc.).
+ Workingknowledge of utility interconnections, protection relays, andcommunication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850, etc.).
+ Strongunderstanding of AC/DC systems, switchgear, transformers, inverters, andprotection devices.
+ Proficiencywith **AutoCAD** , **ETAP** , **SKM** , or equivalentdesign tools.
+ Excellentcommunication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the abilityto collaborate across engineering, project management, and field executionteams.
