    Design Engineer** **II** **– Battery New Product Development

    **Design Engineer** **II** ** ** – Battery New Product Development

     

    This Design Engineer II primary role uses engineering expertise and knowledge to contribute to the design and development of new to world battery products in a fast-paced rapid growing environment.

    Duties and Responsibilities 

    + Main project technical resource onbattery new product development

    + Provide clear engineering information to Project Leaders and the Global Engineering teamsfacilitatingtrade off decisionscross functionally as well as marketing.

    + Ability to handlemid to lowcomplexity projects individually

    + Develop andmaintainbuild test plans and methods between milestones to ensure project efficiency

    + Serve as a technical resource on areas of expertise

    + Experience using engineering problem solving methods (FEA, DOE, Fishbone, FMEA,GD&T) to derive root cause and potential solutions

    Job Requirements 

    + Bachelor of Science Degree in MechanicalEngineering

    + 3years of design experience.

    + Proficiencyin 3D CAD –ProE,Solidworks,NX, or similar as well as FEA.

    + Strong analytical skills, knowledge,problem solving,and experience in process development and design evaluation.

    + Experience with manufacturing process – Injection molding, stamping, and plating

    + Ability to travel up to 10% (travel includes Domestic and International).

    + High interest in tools of the construction trades.
