    Responsibilities

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    Manages the Warehouse Department. Carries out Management/Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

     

    + Warehouse support of manufacturing, printing, quality control and maintenance.

    + Scheduling of loading and unloading of inbound and outbound truckloads shipments.

    + Maintain and reconcile printed and unprinted finished goods inventory.

    + FedEx/UPS/DHL and other small parcel expedited services.

    + Research and negotiation for inbound and outbound pricing of all truckload shipments.

    + Auditing of freight charges incurred by this plant.

    + Maintenance of forklifts, forklift batteries and dock plates.

    + Coordinate training and certification of forklift drivers.

    + Implement company rules including Good Manufacturing Practices, (HACCP) and safety.

    + Responsible for the direction and training of all warehouse and inventory team members.

    + Responsible for the ongoing development of a team environment.

    + Must know the Quality Policy and apply it to working practices.

    + Implement required disciplinary action and all related documentation.

    + Maintain and reconcile regrind, purge, and inventory.

    + All other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager

    + People Agility –Understand personal strengths and weaknesses; leads by example; promotes change through listening skills and seeking frequent input from employees; is genuine and approachable; firm but fair – consistent.

    + Problem Solving/Conflict Resolution - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; mitigates relationship conflicts and encourages constructive (problem-solving) conflict.

     

    Full-time, 24/7 operating manufacturing plant availability as needed.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience:

    Bachelor degree (B.A.) or five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS Certification a plus.

    Language Skills:

    Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group or large group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

    Mathematical Skills:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in varying situations.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in an office environment. The office environment is generally climate controlled, well lighted and has a low noise level. This individual will also be required to spend varying amount of time interacting with employees in a production environment. The production environment will at times contain fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in the production environment is usually loud.
