Position Title:
Assistant Director, Donor Relations and Stewardship

Job Responsibilities:
This role focuses on optimizing Sentinel Society membership operations, analyzing donor data, and developing targeted strategies to strengthen donor relationships and drive sustained, unrestricted support.
The Assistant Director works to create contact and written stories to support donor impact strategies including scholarship and endowment reporting, individual donor stewardship reports, and to support all work in the Mythos reporting system. The Assistant Director routinely responds to donor inquiries to maintain high standards for donor experience and satisfaction. These programs will acknowledge, recognize and communicate the impact made by donors.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship, this position works closely with the Executive Director of Annual Giving to align Sentinel initiatives with RIT’s broader fundraising priorities.

Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in higher education, constituent relationship, development or content creation and writing, preferably in education
+ Equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered
+ Intermediate to Advance level in Microsoft Office with technical aptitude to learn role-specific software
+ Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
+ Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Excellent written and oral communications skills
+ Relationship builder
+ Ability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends
