    As a Principal Application Middleware Administrator, you'll provision, configure, administer, and optimize middleware software in government environments, including maintaining, monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing, operating, patching, migrating, and upgrading all supported software. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ensuring seamless application integration and performance.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    + 6 years of experience provisioning, configuring, administering, and optimizing middleware software in government or large enterprise environments, with hands-on expertise in maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, migrating, and upgrading

    + Proven track record managing middleware in secure, regulated settings, including repair and operational support for high-stakes applications

    + Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)

    + Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service operations and configuration management

    + Proficiency in middleware platforms (e.g., WebSphere, Kafka) and monitoring tools (e.g., ELK Stack)

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex troubleshooting in dynamic environments

    + Applies extensive expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines, with the ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

    + Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification

    + ITIL 4 Foundation certification

    + Experience supporting DoD or large federal middleware operations, including agile migrations and secure patching in hybrid cloud setups

    + Background in DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker) for automated middleware deployments

    + Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., Oracle WebLogic Server Certified Administrator)

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $63662 - $108225

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
