As a **Principal IT Project Manager** , you'll play a critical role in leading engineering modernization support for a large government enterprise contract, serving the customer. This is a unique opportunity to drive the development of business processes and enterprise IT solutions, incorporating innovative and emergent technologies to transform legacy systems into agile, secure platforms. Aligned with federal standards like NIST, FISMA, and ITIL 4 practices, you'll manage cross-functional projects, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation to deliver value-driven outcomes in mission-critical modernization initiatives.
As a senior IT project manager, you'll be responsible for leading engineering modernization projects, including the development of business processes, workflows, and enterprise IT solutions to enhance operational efficiency and adaptability. You'll incorporate innovative and emergent technologies into solutions, conduct feasibility studies, proof-of-concepts, and integration planning to align with government priorities. Your expertise will help drive seamless integration, compliance, and secure IT operations.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, including the development of IT solutions that support mission-critical initiatives. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, facilitate workshops, and ensure solutions meet compliance and usability standards. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
+ 6 years of experience in IT project management, with hands-on leadership in engineering modernization, business process development, and enterprise IT solutions in government or large enterprise settings
+ Proven track record incorporating innovative/emergent technologies into projects to deliver transformative outcomes
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance (must be current and transferable)
+ Strong knowledge of federal IT standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, FISMA) and ITIL practices for service management
+ Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and agile frameworks
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills for complex, cross-functional projects
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

+ Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
+ ITIL 4 Foundation certification
+ Experience supporting DoD or large federal modernization projects, including AI/emergent tech integrations
+ Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar agile certification
+ Background in risk analysis tools (e.g., @Risk) and reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau)
+ Master's degree in a relevant field or additional certifications (e.g., CompTIA Project )
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
