Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Manager with 10+ years of quality management expertise to lead the development and implementation of supplier quality processes for battery energy storage systems (BESS). In this role, you will be responsible for creating a comprehensive supplier evaluation plan for both current and new vendors, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards, and driving supplier development initiatives.
You will work closely with procurement, engineering, and quality teams to design audit plans, checklists, and evaluation criteria, and coordinate Supplier Quality Engineers to execute audit schedules. This role will also manage supplier-related non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
The Supplier Quality Manager will play a key role in building a strong supplier base that meets project requirements and supports the successful delivery of BESS projects.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a supplier evaluation plan for current suppliers and new vendors, including supplier development strategies.
• Design audit plans, checklists, and evaluation criteria aligned with ISO 9001 requirements.
• Collaborate with Procurement to review new vendor lists and integrate quality requirements into sourcing decisions.
• Coordinate Supplier Quality Engineers to implement audit schedules and ensure timely execution.
• Serve as the primary liaison for supplier quality compliance and certification readiness.
• Investigate supplier-related non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Communicate quality expectations and provide training to suppliers as needed.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by embedding CAPA and root-cause analysis into supplier quality processes.

Skills and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, or Quality Engineering (or a closely related technical field)
• 10+ years of experience in project’s construction and products quality engineering within the energy industry
• 3+ years of experience leading teams and overseeing quality initiatives
• Hands-on experience with electrical power systems utilized on BESS, Batteries, inverters, transformers, switchgear, control cabinets, and other similar equipment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of supplier development, auditing, and corrective action processes.
• Willingness to travel (up to 75%) to domestic and international project sites.
