Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a systems engineer to work onsite for one of our client's in the Kansas City area. This person will be responsible for helping with a recent integration of a company and will be responsible for deploying new firewalls, setting up new wireless infrastructure, and replacing existing firewalls. This person will be the only systems engineer responsible for these direct tasks, however, this person will be closely working with the IT support team that includes 4 team members. They are looking for this person to be a jack of all trades, able to navigate infrastructure, network, and cloud environments to ensure that the integration is moving forward. After the integration is completed, the responsibility will shift to helping move legacy applications to AWS environment. This will start off as a contact but then convert to a full time employee!

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with network engineering, systems engineering, or related

• Experience working with Cisco catalyst switches

• Infrastructure experience specifically with palo alto firewalls and Aruba wireless infrastructure

• Has experience managing and installing Windows and Linux servers

• Scripting experience with python and PowerShell as it relates to automating M365 processes.

• Very familiar working within a Microsoft 365 environment

High school diploma • Experience designing and implementing AWS cloud environments through terraform (highly preferred)

• AWS certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science - high school diploma at least
