We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as we grow our sales department. We are beginning new projects and capabilities throughout Nova Hospitality's various venues and concepts.
The Sales Manager is responsible for selling event spaces and services, managing client relationships, and overseeing event logistics to ensure successful and profitable events. Key duties include developing sales plans, negotiating contracts, coordinating with clients and vendors, managing the event calendar, and collaborating with other departments to execute and market events. The Sales Manager is tasked with driving successful and profitable events by selling event spaces and services, cultivating client relationships, and overseeing comprehensive event logistics. This role's core responsibilities encompass developing strategic sales plans, negotiating contracts, coordinating meticulously with both clients and vendors, maintaining the event calendar, and working collaboratively with other departments for effective event execution and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and implement sales strategies to generate new leads and secure bookings.
+ Prospect and build long-term relationships with new and existing clients to ensure repeat business.
+ Create proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage client accounts.
+ Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs for events like weddings, conferences, and parties.
+ Participate in all event details, including venue setup, vendor selection, and menus.
+ Manage the event calendar to ensure the space is booked efficiently.
+ Collaborate with internal teams, such as catering, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless event execution.
+ Manage and maintain all event-related paperwork, such as Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
+ Supervise event staff and coordinate with vendors to meet client needs.
+ Develop and manage event budgets, and ensure events are profitable.
+ Track and manage expenditures, and assist with accounts receivable.
+ Track pipeline, respond to leads, close deals, and manage relationships
+ Represent the venue at industry events and networking activations
+ Manage event budgets, track performance, and ensure profitability on third-party events
+ Develop systems and SOPs for scalable event execution
+ Serve as the client-facing liaison and primary decision-maker
Skills Required:
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
+ Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
+ Proficiency in managing budgets and using CRM software.
+ Experience in event planning, customer service, and sales is often required.
+ A bachelor's degree and/or relevant certifications can be beneficial
+ Leadership and team management skills.
+ Familiarity with event management software and tools.
+ Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines.
+ Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
