    AdventHealth is expanding our medical expertise, innovation, and state-of-the-art technology to southern Hillsborough County through a brand-new hospital in Riverview, which is scheduled to open in 2024.

     

    The new AdventHealth Riverview hospital will include 82 beds at time of opening with space to expand to 202 beds in the future.

     

    This $250 million project in Riverview also includes a 100,000 square foot, four-story Medical Office Building that will provide community members convenient access to expert care.

     

    AdventHealth Riverview will offer a wide range of health care services which includes emergency, cardiovascular, digestive, urology, orthopedic and womens care.

    The role you'll contribute** **:

    The Cardiovascular Invasive Laboratory Specialist IV (CILS IV) performs a wide range of technical skills, which areutilized during a variety of Cardiac interventions including PCI with STEMI call plus two of the following: Interventionalradiology, Vascular procedures, Electrophysiology devices, and Y90 procedures OR proficient in EP ablation OR

     

    Destination (ORL South) complex Cath procedures including biopsy etc. The CILS IV is proficient in all aspects ofangiography, preparation, assessment, documentation and monitoring consistent with the policies, procedures andprocesses of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration. Adheres to the guidelines andstandards of professional practice associations. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and acceptsresponsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

    Follows CDC isolation guidelines, appropriately uses PPE, and performs hand hygiene according to accepted standards of care. Identifies and prepares patient using aseptic technique as dictated by procedure ordered. Exhibits awareness of hazards which may endanger patients. Ensures adherence to regulatory standards and enforces safety regulations. Annually meets all required department specific competencies

     

    Verifies orders and facilitates implementation, communicating with physician as needed. Performs treatments and administers medications according to policy and training. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Evaluates effectiveness of interventions and medications. Performs within the bounds of the applicable scope of practice for Cardiovascular Interventional Technologists. Facilitates timely patient throughput

     

    Produces an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based upon the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions. Maintains authenticity and security of the record, and follows prescribed process for amending documents

     

    Performs effectively in procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice and/or performs effectively in procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in an electrophysiology laboratory based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) per policy.

     

    Learns and upgrades skills. Utilizes knowledge base to assist with orientation, training, and education of new personnel. Provides training for procedures within their competency.

    Qualifications

    The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:

    Experience in complex cardiac interventional procedures

     

    Experience in electrophysiology diagnostic and interventional procedures

     

    Experience in pediatric invasive procedures

     

    Experience in structural heart procedures

     

    BCLS - Basic Life Support

    ACLS

    RN- Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure

     

    CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist

     

    RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist

     

    RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist

     

    RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
